The Houston Gunners is a full contact football team in the National Public Safety Football League. The Gunners have been playing for 11 years. The Gunners play other police departments, fire departments, and correction departments around the nation; there are 19 public safety teams in the league. Also the Gunners play semi-pro football teams in the State of Texas.

The Houston Gunners have played in five National Public Safety Football League championships, the first being in 1998, 1999, 2001, 2003 and 2004. The Gunners won the National Championship in 1999, the N.P.S.F.L. Championship 2003 and the N.P.S.F.L. DII Championship 2004.
